Objectives

Model, design and develop a decentralized solution for self-management of Fog resources in a generic way

How?

• Provide an Architecture Description Language (ADL) for modeling Fog systems (topologies, resources, constraints, etc.)
• Support collaborative decision-making between a fleet of small autonomic controllers based on distributed consensus algorithms
• Support the automatic generation and coordination of reconfiguration plans
• Evaluate the solution (simulator, real infrastructure) and produce a fully open source framework that can be used independently or integrated with standard solutions (e.g., Kubernetes).

When?

The SeMaFoR project begins in March 2021 and will end in February 2025.
